I love bringing stories to life through thoughtfully crafted spaces and visual worlds. I’m passionate about crafting environments that not only support the idea or narrative, but deepen it - adding layers of meaning, mood and emotion. I’m very grateful to have had the opportunity to work as a self taught production designer- applying my fabrication, carpentry, painting, and general creative skills to a project. Below are a few examples of my work:
-
Haunted House 1
I got the crazy opportunity to design and build out a custom 5,000 sq ft Haunted House experience in an abandoned office space. My partner and I fabricated a front porch at the entrance of the office - installing flooring, paneling, bannisters, address signage, stepping stones, wood chips, and greenery. Then we used paint and staining to age the space.
-
Haunted House 2
I painted faux decorative wallpaper for the living room scene to give it a luxurious feel that was cost effective. Installed drapery to cover office closets. Sourced antique furniture and fireplace mantel from prop houses and set decorated with thrift finds.
-
Haunted House 3
This haunted house experience was built out for a huge party taking place in Grant Park, Atlanta. I designed the experience around the idea of an old grant park house having a sadistic torture lab hidden away in the house. Many of the office rooms had to be built out to look like torture lab spaces. I sourced authentic antique medical equipment and furniture from several prop houses and used a splattering technique to give organic bloodstain patterns.
-
Haunted House 4
One of my favorite rooms. This antique medical chair was so heavy to install - but worth it! The lighting behind the curtain with the dark blood splatter made this room look super cool.
-
Haunted House 5
One of my favorite props we installed was an authentic antique x-ray machine with real x-rays.
-
Haunted House 6
Every vile and glass bottle I made antique labels for and filled with powders for set dressing. Sourced prop knives from a weapons prop house.
-
Haunted House 7
This room took a year off my life. I wall papered an entire office out of newspaper clippings, old photographs, and letters. Then went back and spray painted crazy messages over the top and used red tape to connect the images.
-
Lost Magic Shoot 1
I served as creative director and producer for this short film. I built an entire fort out of branches in the middle of the woods to give this scene a time gone by feel.
-
Lost Magic Shoot 2
Sourced authentic props from local antique shops up in Old Fort, TN since this scene is set in the 1960s.
-
Dean Film Shoot 1
A short film I directed and produced. Sourced authentic 1960s props and styled wardrobe for this scene.
-
Dean Short Film 2
Worked on lighting design and special effects with the campfire scene for this film.
-
P+L Shoot 1
This was a feature I produced and set dressed. Helped with lighting, wardrobe, and props.
-
P+L Shoot 2
Built explosive blast wall. Did hair and makeup for this look as well.
-
P+L Shoot 3
Another cool shot from this project.
